Ofc. Tom MacDonald

Off. Thomas MacDonald has been with the Rockland Police Department since October of 1996. He is currently assigned to the 4pm-12midnight shift.

Off. MacDonald graduated from the Plymouth Police Academy in November of 1999 as an Honor graduate(#1 academically)

Before joining the Rockland Police Department, Off. MacDonald served four(4) years in the United States Marine Corps. Off. MacDonald served in various locations throughout the country/world, including places such as Quantico; Virginia and Okinawa; Japan.

Off. MacDonald joined the Rockland Honor Guard in the summer of 1997. Tom strongly believes in what honor guards and their members strive for...and accomplish. Tom states "...if we, as police officers and police families, can not take of each other and be there for us, who will be?"

Off. MacDonald is trained and qualified as an E911 dispatcher, Police mountain bike patrol(COBWEB), and has kept the stats for the Uniform Crime Reports.

Tom enjoys spending time with his friends and family and is currently attending Quincy College striving for a degree.

Tom spends his days off working out, playing basketball, and engaging in any sporting activity.(Tom is an avid sports fan).

Tom has been married for 1 1/2 years to his wife, Jen, and they are expecting their first child in late April.
